Thanks, Ro, so do I, but there won't be a place unless they decide they need more staff or someone decides to leave.

Thanks, Ro. I'm hoping for a miracle where they want to suddenly employ me, otherwise I'll have to try to find a job hopefully not too much further
from home. Some nurseries have better conditions and are more modern because they get more funding (mine is committee ran and charity based rather than
Government ran). But I am so used to everything about my nursery that I don't look forward to having to get used to all the differences I'd find at
another nursery. I'm worried that if I didn't settle into a job at another nursery soon enough they could use that as a reason to not keep me past the
probationary period. I had that problem at my last office job but it was due to me not being able to get used to their complicated software soon enough and
they didn't have the time to help me.
Been really busy lately attending that job-search course which has taught me some useful new info and I've made a few temporary friends (different people nearly every time I go because of all the people who attend and it's very flexible attendance). I've also been busy working on finishing my NVQ work and also making sure I'm prepared for the second observation by my Assessor at Nursery on the 12th. She will be asking me about all our aspects of Health and Safety so I'm worried I'll forget something and that won't help at all. I need to tell nursery I'm starting to look for suitable employment as my course has almost finished and once my updated CV is done I'll give them that incase they got anything suitable arising there. I would like to use them as a reference as they know how I work in a nursery and a bit about my character. May also need my Assessor/Tutor as a reference as my last employer was at an office job and I'm not sure they would be a suitable reference (since they made me redundant after 2 months for suspicious reasons) Did I mention my best friend is pregnant again? She had a boy last July and she's expecting another baby due in December. I'm excited although I have more on my mind this time so haven't had much time to think about the new baby. Her boy Kian is fond of me and he's almost walking. I'm babysitting his two older sisters on the 9th while his mum and dad go to the hospital for the mum's scan. They're taking Kian with them as the girls aren't much help if I have to look after their brother as well and it's better if I either have 1 of them and Kian, Kian on his own, or just both the girls. I always love babysitting any of them, it's fun and also gets my mind off other things that stress/worry me. Internet's been down a lot of today, a lot of South East England had the same problem. Now it's back and I have to catch up on my 4xC reading as I haven't checked in ages. I have 3-4 Reset Reality Stories to catch up on as well, I don't have enough time for everything now. Hoping this week is nicer but not too hot all the time. |

Almost finished my work now, just finishing off paperwork and making sure I've met all the criteria now. I hope to be finished by the end of next week.
No suitable vacancies for me lately. I don't think I'm made for leading so I don't want to be a supervisor or play group room-leader. And I want a job where I can feel secure, I'm fed up of jobsearching as I've done it so many times now. I'm hoping the jobs will pick up nearer the summer holidays, maybe that's when they like interviewing people as well. I'm a bit limited as I don't want to travel very far since I don't like travelling and don't have a car. My playgroup doesn't have any vacancies at the moment and I think a lot of their volunteers would apply if they did have a suitable vacancy. I'm not sure if I'd have more chance than the others as I'm sure we are all as good and equally caring about the children. I hate competing. Will update when I have better news. |

I've started writing notes for a Mag. 7 AU based around an English Day Nursery. I am sending my ideas to two Mag. 7 friends who have helped me a lot in the
past. I need to get back into writing because I have never given up on getting back into it one day and I love using my imagination but don't get to do it
enough. I want to write better stories than ever before, sometimes when you have a long break from something then go back to it, you find you can do it better
than you did before. I found this with origami ages ago. I also want to work on some unfinished stories (unfinished in that I never got them betad and they
need a bit of rewriting).
Looking for nursery work now but I'm more likely to get a job from asking nurseries on spec it seems as they don't all advertise I've been told. The sooner I can get a job the better, I can't wait to actually be paid to do something I enjoy and to start getting better money than I do now. In future, I don't want to go back to the jobcentre so if I'm unemployed again I will have to find another job without getting benefits I think. I get punished for saving money I earned in the past so I might as well just live on some of that if I'm out of work again. Also I think if I wasn't getting any income it would make me more desperate to get a new job. Some people live on benefits forever as they manage to put up with the jobcentre's ways. I've finished my NVQ now but I won't get my certificate until September as far as I know. My folder is with my assessor so it can be looked at by the Internal and External verifiers when they are due to check my class's work. Unfortunately, there's still no suitable vacancies on the horizon with the nursery I volunteer for so I have to look for work at places that haven't seen me working so can only find out from my current nursery. My references are my Assessor/Tutor and my nursery supervisor. I feel so free without anymore homework |

Extra: Seeing the boyf this weekend and looking forward to watching the last Doctor Who with him. I'm a bit confused about who's taking over from David
Tennant because he's in some specials next year. Phil (the boyf) said it's cos Doctor Who can time-travel that it'll be Tennant but that's a
bit confusing too! It will be interesting to see what happens when they have a new head writer but I haven't seen enough episodes to be able to notice any
differences between his stories and Russel's. I'm going to catch up with all the newer Doctor Who series one way or another. That's all for now,
I'll update sometime in July.

Hi, I haven't been here for ages because every time I came to look, there was hardly anything new to read.
I'm finally back and catching up. Still looking for a nursery job but still want to get a permanent or long term temporary job. Just watched all of Series 1 Doctor Who with Christopher Eccleston, onto series 2 soon. I said I'd catch up somehow! Also, I am slowly rewatching my Friends DVDs. Nearly up to Series 5. The only series I don't have now is Series 9. For Jediya: I have just posted a few messages at the UK M7 group. Take a look as you may be interested in at least one of them. Thanks. Nice to be back and I will keep checking. |

Hey, Lu, welcome back. Take your time catching up, activity on this board has been lower than Billie's IQ for months now. For various reasons, everyone
just went away.
I'm still about, and I am posting links to my new Rex and Hannah stories here. Maybe someday, this board will come back to life. Who can say. |
